The reason why we were in Cagayan was because one Aunt Julie’s classmate married someone from Tuao, Cagayan. He cannot come with us in Banaue, so he just offered a destive dinner and a place for all of us to spend the night in.

Mrs. Paraiso (one of our companions) received a text message saying that the other classmate will wait for us in front of the church. Tito Jaime parked outside of the church grounds, and seeing that their classmate wasn’t around, I asked if I could go out for a while to take some pictures of the church. There was I again, seizing the opportunity.

I had to be quick, so I wasn’t able to take that much pictures. I did say some prayers, though. It is important to me to say some gratitude to God for all the blessings He has given me. A wedding has just ended, so at first it was hard for me to take pictures. But, I did manage to get some nice pictures worth blogging.

Of all the cathedrals I have visited, this seemed to be the simplest I have ever seen. Not that much images, not that much decorations, even the ceilings and the chandeliers weren’t that elaborate, but still, it was a real nice church. I love the details of their bricks and how the church looks like on the outside. Too bad I was pressed for time. Oh well.

Aunt Julie fetched me saying we need to go. Turns out, Mrs. Paraiso misunderstood the text message she received. She read “Tuao” as an abbreviation of “Tuguegarao,” and because Tito Jaime still need to drop by his in-laws’ place to visit his daughter, we dropped by there first before heading out way to Tuao.

It was a very tiring day, but very fulfilling. Imagine, from La Union to Banaue, to Cagayan — all in 24 hours? I was telling my mom that even if I didn’t get to stay long, I did get to set foot on four provinces because of this trip! One great experience, indeed!

It took us nearly 2 more hours before we reach Tuao. When we got there, we immediately ate dinner — total feast, I tell you, but didn’t eat much — then we freshened up went to sleep. It’s lights off by 9PM because we still have to wake up 3AM the next day.
