If there’s one place where sister I prefer to eat whenever we’re in Market One, it has got to be this - Tita Norms’ Bicol Deli. At first (since we don’t know how foods would taste like), we just picked this place because it was the very first one we’ve seen and at that time, there were quite a few people eating in the tables they had (probably because it was still too early).
Recalling the very first time we ate there, I had the Pancit Malabon, while sister had their dinuguan (pork in blood stew). Aside from the generous serving, their foods are also delicious! On this day, sister and I actually decided to eat elsewhere, so we would know the taste of the other foods in different food shops, but when I asked this one stall for the price of their food, I got a little disappointed. Well, it’s the same price as the one at Tita Norms’ but the serving was just so little! I told my sister it’s much better if we go back to Tita Norms’, after all, we already knew that their foods were great.
That time we ordered rice meals because we still haven’t eaten breakfast. She had lengua estofado, while I had bopis. Ever since my cholesterol problems, I stayed away from eating internals, but on this day, I just couldn’t resist myself. And it was really a great choice - it was cooked so good, and very delicious! I also got a taste of sister’s order, and it was very delicious, too! The lengua was cooked very tender.
My sister and I are then big fans of this food place, and we didn’t want to take home just our ravings about the food, so sister and I decided to buy some food to take home to mom, so she could taste it, too! I actually wanted to roam around the market and just get back here to order the food, but the people buying their foods and the fact that some of the serving trays are running out, sister suggested we buy now and just take it as we roam around.

We wanted to taste more different dishes, so we ordered ginataang langka and beef caldereta. Their vegetable dishes cost 60 pesos per serving, while the pork dishes are at 70. Beef dishes, however cost 80 pesos. Some say it was a bit expensive, and yes, it might be, but compared to the taste, it was really worth it. My mom actually loves it, too!
Hmmm… I wonder when will we go back there…
