Being someone who joins the Sky Watch Friday Meme, I got to know about the My World Tuesday meme from it, too, but it was just now that I got to join because I wasn’t able to understand it at first. Just this morning, while hopping in different blogs, I took notice of the meme and realized that this one’s perfect for this blog, since this blog pretty much talks about my travels in and out of the city.

For my first entry, I take you to the Mandarin Oasis, inside the Gateway Mall in Araneta Center - Cubao, Quezon City. In the heart of this mall filled with shops of all kinds, there’s this place with no roof and is filled with lots of plants and flowers.

Before, I could only dream of entering this part of the mall, because this actually is a refreshment center - a restaurant of sorts. Foods were so expensive and back then people cannot just enter the oasis if they’re not eating, but we were lucky the time we were there because it was already open to everyone, even if you would just take pictures - which was what we did when we went there.

I was with my family when we went there and my mom really had a great time. If only this place was just near our house, for sure we would always be there. Maybe next time we would order foods so the experience would come to a full circle.

It feels awkward to go to places that are too swanky and expensive just to ogle around. It´s good to have a chance to do it every now and then. I love those colourful fishes in chinese restaurants.

A lovely place to show us to-day. It is good that a place like that is not eclusively for the rich. I do hope next time you can afford to eat there as well as photograph.

I love it when they add a lot of greenery and water elements/structure inside a mall. I know that Philippines have really gorgeous malls.
