Baguio Cathedral

I found this nice meme for Sunday — Scenic Sunday — and since it’s themed for locations, I think it suits my blog really well. I love doing memes because it takes away the thinking of what shall I post for the day, and not only that, it’s also a great way to socialize with other bloggers who say the same passion as I do.

Last Friday, I shared a picture taken from the Baguio Cathedral grounds, so for today, I decided to share my picture of the cathedral. At that time (04 March 2008), I still didn’t know I will someday put up a travel blog, so I didn’t take lots of pictures of the cathedral. I just took this one to submit for the Sony Ericsson contest. This picture didn’t win, but I am very happy with how this picture turned out.

I actually had a hard time getting this shot done because there were some tourists posing by the stair railings (the blue line-like something in the middle of the picture) and I waited quite a long time for them to leave before I was able to take this shot. I was actually fearing that the sun might rise too soon and if it did, I would lose all the dramatic effect the dawn gives in pictures. I believe it’s only 5:45 AM when this was shot.

Seeing my Baguio pictures makes me want to come back and take more pictures. I have been to the churches in the area, but I wasn’t able to take lots of pictures, and now I am hoping I can go back and church hop again.

Taken using my Sony Ericsson K800i cell phone set to twilight landscape, no flash. Thanks for dropping by!
