Facade

I found it really funny that the church in dad’s hometown was just a few steps away from the house, yet I still haven’t blogged about it despite the numerous times I’ve been there all throughout the year! So, the very next day after I arrived there last October, I decided to drop by the church first before checking out the other churches in different towns.

I knew the church sometimes do an early service (because I would see our neighbor in the morning with her church service uniform everyday), and because it’s a week day, I went there early hoping that the church was still open. However, the church staff was already in the office ready to leave, leaving me outside the church. I couldn’t ask them to open the church because I was shy to ask such a thing, so I just took some pictures, hoping I could visit next time.

Pictures:

Facade
I just love that stained glass by the entrance!

Flower
A very lovely flower, indeed!

Bell
The original bell of the church. If I remember it correctly, this bell has been existing since 1700s.

Grotto
In 2007, there was a renovation in the area, and this Grotto was added. There used to be water and some koi fishes on the grotto, but I am wondering why it’s dry today.

The whole family will be back there on March for dad’s death anniversary, so I am hoping that the next time I go there, I will be able to take pictures inside the church. Please expect a longer, more precise trip in the church next time.
