Wonderful Vigan

Place: Salcedo Park (City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur)
Date: 28 May 2008

Since my posts are still talking about Vigan (my favorite place), I am going to share one picture that I still haven’t posted. I really had this one reserved for Sky Watch Friday.

Brother and I were walking from Father Burgos’ House to the Arzobispado (Archbishop’s Palace), and somewhere in the middle there lies the magnificent Salcedo Park. I stopped by to capture this image, but I saw my brother walking fast, so I wasn’t able to check it out good on the digicam screen, I basically just “point and shoot,” so sorry if this one’s not aligned good. I just wanted a good capture of the park.

The statue in front was the late former President Elpidio Quirino. He was born and raised here, I believe. Sadly, the fountain in the middle wasn’t on - it would be a great sight to see - and of course at the far back is the Vigan Cathedral.

I can’t believe it’s the weekend again! Happy weekends everyone!

Well jennifer, colors are wonderful on this shot. Like the deep cloud in the back.
The statue, obelisk, and Church are perfectly aligned.
