Date: 22 October 2008

Because I will be having a holiday with my friend K on the first week of November, I decided to go to La Union on the last week of October, not only to visit my dad’s grave but also to check out Surf Break 3 (a surfing festival) happening on that weekend as well.

Although I have traveled alone numerous times, but I am still somewhat uneasy doing such - I cannot sleep, I get worried, and I am just uncomfortable with the whole ride, so what I do is take a look at the window and when I see an interesting sight, I will grab my camera from my bag and shoot away.

Some of the pictures taken on that day have been posted for Sky Watch Friday, but here are some unposted pictures:

Mt. Arayat

Mt. Arayat from Afar. Taken from a town in Pampanga.

Train

Train in Luisita, Tarlac. I am not sure if this train were of use before, but right now, it sits pretty on the park.

Sison Welcome Arch

Entering Sison, a town in Pangasinan. That vehicle is called jeepney (or jeep) - the most common passenger vehicle here in the Philippines.

La Union Arch

Finally, the La Union welcome arch. It would still take two hours before I reach my destination, but seeing this arch already makes me feel at home. All the images here (except the third one) were taken inside the bus, so my apologies if you can see some reflections and other unnecessary things in the pictures.

If you want to see more parts of my world, just come back tomorrow and the coming days, I am about to share my La Union vacation pictures and stories.

Happy Tuesday, y’all!
