My SkyWatch Friday picture for this week is very special to me because this was the first time that I was able to use the panorama tool of my cell phone.

Bolinao, Pangasinan

I actually tried using it a few months after I bought the phone, but I wasn’t able to understand it. I had forgotten about it until I joined a Sony Ericsson K800i group in Flickr. The pictures posted by the members of the group are so awesome, you wouldn’t believe they were taken from a phone! I, of course, wanted to try it out, too, and this was the very first one I took.

Taken while we were waiting for Uncle Arthur to fetch us up on the port of Macanlaoan Beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan, I could say I had a hard time getting this shot done. How it works? You take a shot of the first frame then the phone would save it and after that you shoot your next frame. There’s a gray part on the leftmost part of the screen showing the edge of the first picture so you could connect the frames. There are three frames and after you shot your third frame, the phone will stitch it and voila! You have your panoramic shot. Pretty cool, eh? Perfect for open spaces.

I know it wasn’t really that pretty, but this picture being my first, I am proud of it. Thanks for dropping by! If you have time, please check my other Sky Watch picture as it makes a comeback in my Photo Blog. Thanks once again!
