Bolinao, Pangasinan

I am supposed to blog about the next destination from my recent summer vacation, but I forgot to resize and mark my pictures, so I will just insert this post instead.

This coming Tuesday, mom and I will be hitting the road with Uncle Pete and his family. We will be going to their hometown in Bolinao, Pangasinan to reunite with relatives and do a send off party for Uncle Pete and his family. They will be migrating to US and their flight is scheduled on July 16th, which coincidentally is Uncle Pete and Aunt Imelda’s wedding anniversary! Also, Uncle Pete hasn’t visited grandpa’s grave yet, so we will also be having some prayer service for grandpa.

Plans are changing by the minute, but as of this writing, the schedule goes:
Tuesday, 08 July 2008 >>> Uncle Pete’s family will pick up mom in her office and then pick me up here in the house at around 3PM. We all will be riding their car and will pass by Marilao, Bulacan from here. Most probably, we will arrive in Pangasinan by 10PM.

Wednesday, 09 July 2008 >>> Uncle Pete and his driver will be driving back to Metro Manila to pick up his co-teacher. All of us wouldn’t fit inside the car and Uncle Pete didn’t want mom and I to commute so they will just drive back. There were no schedules for this day, but if they’re not planning to check out the fish cages, I might come with Uncle Pete (just until the main land) to take pictures of the church and/or other things. If they have other cool plans, then I will put aside my plans and come with them. I am also hoping to check out the rice farms mom said they might be planting some.

Thursday, 10 July 2008 >>> Together with Uncle Pete’s co-teacher, some of Aunt Imelda’s relatives (they will be coming from Cagayan Province), and our other relatives, we will check-in in a resort and spend the whole day and night swimming, relaxing, and having fun. The resort is still undecided, but I am hoping we all check-in Puerto del Sol resort because I have seen so many pictures from that resort and it’s just spectacular, spectacular place! Well, I have seen so many pictures from Bolinao, so anywhere we will go, I am sure I will enjoy it. Well, 24 hours in a resort? Who wouldn’t have a great time?

Friday, 11 July 2008 >>> Prayer service for grandpa. We will serve grand lunch for the visitors, and we might drop by the cemetery to visit grandpa. After all’s settled, we will drive back to Manila. Mom and I might take the bus this time and the co-teacher will take our place in the car.

We will all be home late at night, so we will use Saturday (12 July) as our rest day. On Sunday (13 July), Uncle Pete will be having a send off party at a rented place somewhere in Proj. 6, Quezon City, which will be attended by friends, other relatives, and past co-workers here in Manila. Although this is scheduled at night, I will surely attend because I won’t be seeing them for long. I will miss them, and I want to party with them one last time until they all return here in the Philippines.

I have so many hopes for this trip. I hope to see the famous light house, I hope to check out new places, I hope to see for real the pictures I saw on the Internet, etcetera, etcetera. I don’t want to expect too much, but I am hopeful.
