PhotoStory Friday

Bonifacio High Street

The bloggers’ event at Italianni’s (see post below for the full story) finished at around 1:30PM, and it was still too early to go home, so sister and I decided to roam around the place. After all, the fare we spent was a bit expensive (this place is so far from our place), why not seize the moment? The wanderings give me the opportunity to see new places, and it really made me see the world in another perspective.

Here are some of my pictures in that very sophisticated area:

Bonifacio High Street

This is a very interesting fountain, eh? If only I had some extra clothes I would surely run under that fountain / shower! =) This fountain, designed by Reg Yuson (if the label near the fountain is correct), is made as an invitation to audiences to contemplate their relation to the sculpture’s surroundings through their affinity with gravity.

A picture in another fountain. I love this one a lot because just looking at the fountain gives me that calm feeling. I am not a big fan of fountains, but seeing one always make me giddy and child like.

Powerbooks

Towards the end of the street, is the building of Powerbooks Fully Booked, one of the biggest bookstores here in the Philippines. That time we were looking for this “DiabetEASE” magazine for our Aunt Julie. We’ve been looking for that magazine for quite a long time already, but we can’t see a copy! We tried our luck in this bookstore, but it didn’t have one. In the end, I bought a different book, “The Greatest Miracle in the World” by Og Mandino, a book that I have wanted to buy for nearly ten years now.

Weekend again… happy weekends everyone!
