Family

Weekends are usually the time the family goes out to have bonding moments. Oftentimes we go to the mall - either to hear mass or buy groceries or buy personal stuffs.. yet always, when we go out, eating should never be neglected. Because I have this blog and brother and I have our own food blogs, whenever we can, we try to check out new food places not only to satisfy our tummy and curiosity, but to have something to write as well.

After hearing mass on that weekend, we decided to eat lunch at TOSH, or “The Old Spaghetti House” in SM Fairview. My sister and I have already eaten at a branch located in Ali Mall, Cubao (yes, the mall was named after Muhammad Ali), and we would like brother and mom to have a taste of it.

The place is so different compared to the one they have at Ali Mall, but I guess I will have the small space to blame for that one. People can really see the kitchen by the counter, and at times it is a good thing, but sometimes it is not, because people can really see how chaotic it was to prepare pasta dishes over and over, mixing ingredients that are different from one another. The smoke can also cause clothes to smell what the chef is cooking. It wasn’t pleasant, but not bad either. At least people can see how their foods are cooked. =)

Chicken Rice Bowl

I ordered pesto pasta with grilled chicken, while mom and bro both had the classic carbonara. I forgot what sister had for pasta, but aside from her pasta dish, she also ordered a chicken rice bowl. I have read raves about the pasta dish I had, and true enough, it was delicious. It was also served in this very cute boat like plate - making eating more interesting. I tried tasting their foods, and all were so great. If only I can order more. =)

As for their staff… I couldn’t say any bad word about them. They are all nice, would attend to the customers’ needs asap, and would always smile at the customers. The food prizes are really cheap in the sense that it’s about 150 pesos (approx. 3USD) per plate, but the thing is, I have eaten at a pasta food place that serves more and costs lesser than TOSH. This place will not be considered a favorite, but I don’t mind eating there once in a while, especially when I needed a pasta fix.
