Numerical Prediction of Welding Transverse Deformation for Hull Block Assembly in Ship-building Based on Inherent Strain Finite Element Method

Welding deformation was predicted by inherent strain finite element method.The region of loading inherent strain was affirmed.The inherent strain data were extracted after the temperature field was simulated by thermal elastic and plastic finite element method.Loading inherent strain data,the deformation of hull block assembly was obtained by elastic analysis.The result could be a reference to predict the welding transverse deformation for hull block assembly.The influence of welding sequence on the data of inherent strain and on the structure deformation was outlined by inherent strain method.
