Ouickely detection of volatile organic acid in substance by the Iodide-iodate test

Zhang Jinping;Conservation Laboratory,The Museum of Chinese Revolution;  
Author successfully use the Iodide-iodate test for the detection of the porous or microporous substance which will emit the harmful organic acid vapours.Comparision with Oddy Method show that the Iodide-iodate test is within two hours,it's advantage is over Oddy Method's 28 days.Because it is not sensitive to non-porous substance and formaldehyde,it can't replace Oddy Method.
