Literature reviews and future directions on vibration property analysis for self-elevating offshore platforms

Pertaining to advances of self-elevating offshore platforms into deep waters,the imperatives of vibration analysis are preliminarily speculated afterwards,the state-of-the-art vibration property analysis methods,which mainly comprise three categories,are prospected.In details,the first is the frequency domain method: i.e.,the self-vibration and single degree-of-freedom analysis;the second is the time domain method: i.e.,the linear,non-linear and multiple working conditional analysis;and the last is the testing technique: i.e.,the vibration property measurement methods and sea-bed-based testing analysis.Finally,it is conclude that currently-employed vibration analysis methods and testing techniques have not been well addressed.To this end,the potential future directions are pinpointed.
