Functional Linkages in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Conurbation Region and the Evolution of the Complex Networks

The empirical spatial-temporal study on the functional relations in city regions by network analysis has become a prominent area.The paper takes the functional network in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeiconurbation region as subject mallet and uses data on enterprise headquarters and branches in 2001 and 2009.The research measures changes of functional relations among producer services,traditional services and manufacturing.The connection efficiency,in-degree and out-degree,scale matching of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei conurbation region spatial network are also analyzed by applying complex network methods.The analysis shows a tendency that aggregation and diffusion of urban functions coexist in different value sections of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebeicity conurbation region.Beijing and Tianjin lead the regional development by aggregating headquarters of producer services,while other cities maximize their combined profits of space economy by establishing branches of traditional services and manufacturing in higher-hierarchy cities.Based on this result,suggestions are given on improving regional development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei conurbation region.
